Illiolousti Thea stands on an east-facing hillside amongst olive
trees, adjacent to the picturesque monastery of Evangelistria.
The site is quiet and secluded although only ten minutes from
the town by car. The walk back is
very steep in places and will take you at least
an hour! There is an excellent bus service running the
length of the coastal strip, but for staying at Illiolousti Thea
and finding those quieter non-commercial beaches to the
northwest, a car is really needed. We can arrange this very
easily for you, providing a car at the airport, where you can
also leave it at the end of your stay.
Returning from a day out, you
will find the tranquillity of this location truly idyllic - a
time to refresh and contemplate before spending the evening
eating out at one of the many and varied taverna's on Skiathos.
Alternatively, stroll past the traditional fishing boats in the
old harbour and then stop to view the many day-trips on display
near the cruise boats laying along side them. Beyond these you
will find the luxury private yachts moored up for the night, one
or two for hire for a days sailing.
This is a truly cosmopolitan
town with so much to see and do - the choice is yours!
